Use of About to in Hindi – Rules, Examples and Exercises. Use of is/am/are about to, was/were about to, will be/shall be about to in Hindi. We use about to for future actions. It tells us that something is going to happen in near future.
About to का प्रयोग Future Reference के लिए करते हैं। use of about to से भविष्य में घटने वाली किसी घटना या कार्य का बोध होता है। इसके साथ To be की Forms “is, am, are, was, were तथा be का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
जैसे की:–
| हम मैच खेलने को हैं। |
| वह बाजार जाने को है। |
| हम मैच खेलने वाले हैं। |
| वह बाजार जाने वाला है। |
Note: ऊपर दिए गए वाक्यों से पता चलता है कि कोई कार्य घटना भविष्य में होने वाली है। ऐसे कार्यो व घटनाओं को व्यक्त करने के लिए about to का प्रयोग करते हैं।
Use of About to in Hindi
About to का प्रयोग Hindi के उन Sentences मैं किया जाता है जिनके अंत में वाला है, वाली है, वाली हैं, वाली हूं, वाला था, वाली थी, वाले थे, को है, को हूं, को थी, को थे, को था आदि शब्द आते हैं। इस तरह के वाक्य भविष्य में होने वाली किसी घटना या घर की ओर संकेत करते हैं। हम शब्दों में कहा जाए तो कह सकते हैं कि कोई व्यक्ति किसी कार्य को थोड़े समय बाद करने वाला है, अभी हुआ नहीं है और न हो रहा है।

Use of is/am/are about to
यदि किसी हिंदी वाक्य के अंत में वाला है, वाली है, वाले हैं, वाला हूं आदि आते हैं तो ऐसे वाक्यों में Auxiliary Verbs is/are/are + about to का प्रयोग करते हैं।

| वाला हूं/वाला हूं – Am about to |
Structure:– Subject + is/am/are + about to + verb I + object + other words
Examples:–
- मैं उसे पढ़ाने वाला हूं। I am about to teach him.
- राजू पत्र लिखने वाला है। Raju is about to write a letter.
- हम आगरा निकलने वाले हैं। We are about to leave for Agra.
- मां खाना पकाने वाली है। Mother is about to cook the food.
- वह अखबार पढ़ने वाला है। He is about to read the newspaper.
Use of Was/Were about to
यदि वाक्य के अंत में वाला था, वाली थी, वाले थे आदि शब्द आते हैं तो was/were + about to का प्रयोग Helping Verb के रूप में होता है।

Structure:– Subject + was/were + about to + verb I + object + other words
Examples:–
- मैं उसे पीटने वाला था। I was about to beat him.
- वह तुम्हें आमंत्रित करने वाला था। I was about to invite you.
- वे पार्क में जाने वाले थे। They were about to go to the park.
- दादाजी टहलने वाले थे। Grandfather was about to for a walk.
- वैज्ञानिक इस बीमारी का पता लगाने वाले थे। The scientists were about to discover this disease.
Use of Will be about to/Shall be about to
यदि वाक्यों के अंत में वाला होगा, वाली होगी, वाले होंगे, वाला हूंगा आदि शब्द आते हैं तो will be about to/shall be about to का प्रयोग करते हैं।

- वह नाचने वाला होगा। He will be about to dance.
- वे कानपुर जाने वाले होंगे। They will be about to go to Kanpur.
- हम उन्हें बुलाने वाले होंगे। We shall be about to call them.
- मैं बच्चों को इतिहास पढ़ाने वाला हूंगा। I shall be about to teach History to the students.
- राजा सैनिकों को संबोधित करने वाला होगा। The king will be about to address the soldiers.
Affirmative Sentences
Affirmative Sentences में about to का प्रयोग ऊपर दिए गए Sentence Structure के अनुसार करते हैं। ये स्ट्रक्चर्स Present Tense, Past tense तथा Future Tense के हैं।

Negative Sentences
About to का प्रयोग नकारात्मक वाक्यों में करते समय is/am/ are + not + about to, was/were + not + about to, will/shall + not + be about to का प्रयोग करते हैं।

About to Interrogative Negative Sentences में Subject के बाद not का प्रयोग करने के बाद होता है।
